CHAMARAJANAGAR: An injured tiger that had taken shelter in a marigold field was captured near Maddur Colony close to the Bandipur tiger reserve. It has now been sent to a rehabilitation centre for treatment.
One Ravishankar first spotted the tiger in the field and locals immediately informed the forest officials. The tiger’s movements detected with drone camera and it was seen to be lying at one place as it was injured.
The forest staff watched the tiger for 3-4 hours and rescued it after administering anesthesia. The captured tiger was then sent for treatment.
