BENGALURU: Income Tax officials conducted raids on businesses at eight locations in the city in connection with tax evasion. The raids started from early today morning.
The officials conducted raids on businesses at SJ Park in Kalasipalya and in Jayanagar. A team of I-T officials arrived in 12 cars and raided over 20 firms at Jain Heights on JC Road.

The taxmen also raided the office of Andhra Pradesh businessman Vamshi and his residence in Jayanagar 8th Block and were checking documents.
Vamshi is a road contractor while his wife is a doctor. The raid was conducted over alleged tax evasion in road contracts.
