BENGALURU: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for the next five days across the state. The city will receive light to moderate rain till November 15.

IMD has issued rain alerts for southern interiors, including Coastal Karnataka on Saturday.

Due to the low pressure area in the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of northeast Sri Lanka, the associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6 km. It will rain in southern-interior Karnataka, including the coast. The weather department has predicted that there is a possibility of moderate rain in many parts of the coast on Friday, some parts on Saturday, and rain in northern-interior Karnataka on November 13, 14 and 15.

The IMD has issued a yellow alert for southern-interior Karnataka, including Chamarajanagar, Kodagu, Mysuru, Kolar, Mandya and Ramanagara districts on Saturday. It has also issued an alert for lightning and thunder.
