BENGALURU: An idol placed at a ‘Nagarakatte’ in front of the Upparpet police station in Majestic area was found defaced by miscreants.

Hindu activists have alleged that the act has hurt the sentiments of the community and have demanded that the police bring the culprits to book at the earliest.

The activists said they had earlier appealed to the police to provide protection to the ‘Nagarakatte’ after the Rashtra Rakshana Pade members had cleaned up the structure. Now, the same place of worship has been targeted, they pointed out.
