BENGALURU: Following the raids by the Food Safety and Drug Administration authorities on hotels in the city, the Bengaluru Hotels Association has decided to provide training to managers and staff of 100 hotels in the city regarding cleanliness, hygiene and compliance with food safety rules.
The training session has been organised on September 7 and 8 and already, 100 hotels in Bengaluru have registered for the training. Hotel managers, staff and kitchen department staff will participate in this training.
Last week, Health Minister U T Khader held a meeting with the hotels’ association and discussed compliance with food safety rules in hotels. Prior to that, food safety officers had raided several hotels in Bengaluru and issued notices to more than 60 hotels.
Following this development, the Hotels Association, which has woken up, has decided to conduct a special training session for hotel managers and staff.
