BENGALURU: The Bruhat Bangalore Hotels Association has warned of shutting down the Swiggy food delivery app accusing it of causing them losses.

The hoteliers’ association is upset that hotels are incurring losses due to the Swiggy app. The association is unhappy with the e-commerce platform as it gives customers numerous offers on the app, but does not inform the hotels.
In some cases, if customers cancel the order, the food is not returned to the hotel. It is said that delivery agents themselves are consuming the cancelled food. Because of this, hotels in Bengaluru are suffering huge losses. Even the money for orders that were accepted and food that was sent out is not being paid correctly, the association claimed.
