Head constable commits suicide, autopsy reveals he consumed poison over alleged family dispute

BENGALURU: A head constable attached with the Vijayanagar traffic police station allegedly committed suicide at his house over a family dispute. The postmortem report revealed that he consumed poison after mixing it with alcohol and a soft drink.

Head constable Naveen Kumar is suspected to have committed suicide, allegedly over a family dispute. His second marriage was scheduled for November 26.

Naveen Kumar was a resident of Atthiguppe and was working at the Vijayanagar traffic police station. He consumed alcohol mixed with a soft drink and laced with poison when no one was at home.

The incident came to light when he did not receive calls on Sunday morning and family members found him dead when they came to check on him at home. The postmortem was conducted at Victoria Hospital. A case has been filed at Chandra Layout police station.
