BENGALURU: A gym trainer lost his life while threatening his wife of committing suicide over a video call, in Bagalagunte police limits on Wednesday. The deceased is Amith Kumar Sah (28), hailing from Bihar.
Amith’s wife, a native of Hassan, had gone to her paternal home after a domestic dispute and he was constantly asking her to return home. Amith was threatening his wife of ending his life by hanging while they were on a video call when his mobile phone fell and he was strangulated by the noose around his neck. The body was shifted to Victorial Hospital for post mortem examination and a case was registered at the Bagalagunte police station.
Amith Kumar had been living in Bengaluru for the last 10 years and got married to a girl who stayed in a house next to his gym, three years ago. Three months later, the wife joined a nursing course and this led to tensions between them as she allegedly was hooked to her mobile phone and friends and neglected the husband.
The woman had returned to her parental home some time ago and had returned only last week. However, they quarrelled again and the wife had left home two days ago. Amith was constantly pleading with his wife to return home and tried to threaten her of suicide, but ended up losing his life.
