Govt schoolchildren hospitalised after drinking milk in which lizard had fallen

CHIKKODI: Several children were hospitalised on Thursday after they consumed milk, given under the Ksheera Bhagya scheme, in which a lizard had fallen. The incident occurred at a government primary school at Ullagaddi Khanapur village in Hukkeri taluk.

About 25 children had consumed the milk supplied under the Ksheera Bhagya scheme. As soon as the school authorities got to know that a lizard had fallen into the milk, they immediately shifted the children in an ambulance and other private vehicles to a hospital in Sankeshwar.

The Yamakanmaradi police also visited the school.
