BENGALURU: The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) has issued an order for the demolition of a Rs 200 crore mega building as it is tilting.
This is an 18-storey mega building, and preparations are under way for the demolition of the tallest building in Bengaluru’s history. The 18-storey mega building with 49 apartments was constructed unscientifically and is now tilting to one side, causing fear among people.
The building has suffered structural damage and there is a fear of a disaster occurring in the future. Due to this, the GBA has directed that the tilted portion of the building be demolished.
The building was constructed by SNN Raj Corp. In this regard, GBA Chief Commissioner M Maheshwara Rao held a meeting with the owners and instructed them to demolish the building. The owners have agreed to demolish the tilted portion of the building. The builder who constructed the building will carry out the demolition.
