Four labourers die in collision between goods vehicle, truck in Bhalki taluk

Fourteen people were travelling in the goods vehicle when it met with an accident.

BIDAR: Four labourers died in a collision between a goods vehicle and a truck near Sevanagar thanda on NH-50 in Bhalki taluk in the wee hours on Wednesday. There were 14 people travelling in the goods vehicle when the accident occurred.

The deceased were identified as Dastagir Dhawasab (36), Rashida, Wali and Amaham Shaik. The injured were shifted to BRIMS in Bidar. The labourers were on their way from Udgir to Hyderabad. The truck was on its way from Bidar to Bhalki. Reckless driving by the truck driver was blamed for the accident.

The injured were shifted to Bidar Institute of Medical Sciences.

The labourers had gone to Udgir to attend a death ceremony and the accident occurred when they were returning to Hyderabad. Police Superintendent Channabasavanna Langoti visited the injured persons in hospital. A case has been registered at the Dhannur police station.
