KOLAR: Former Speaker Ramesh Kumar’s close aide was hacked to death by at least six miscreants with machetes in broad daylight near the under-construction SLV Bar and Restaurant on Mulbagal Road in Srinivaspura taluk on Monday.
The badly injured Dalit councillor Srinivas was admitted to R L Jalappa Hospital in Kolar with serious injuries in the chest, head and abdomen, but he succumbed to his injuries.
It is suspected that Srinivas’ murder may be a contract killing. Srinivas’ car driver said about six persons came to talk to him when one person sprayed something on his face. Then they attacked, stabbed him multiple times, and killed him.
He also said that the accused were from their locality. The Srinivasapura police visited spot and taken up investigation.
