MANDYA: A former soldier died in a pothole-related near Karemane Gate on Monday. The deceased has been identified as S N Kumar (39).
Kumar was riding his motorcycle with his father. He fell down while trying to avoid potholes when a lorry coming from behind ran over him. He died on the spot while his father sustained injuries.
Kumar, a retired soldier, was undergoing training to be a police constable. On Sunday, he had gone to visit his family in Sathanur village when the accident occurred. A case has been registered at the Mandya Traffic police station.
