Former CM Basavaraj Bommai met B S Yediyurappa at the latter's Dollar's Colony residence on Friday.

BENGALURU: Former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai met senior BJP leader B S Yediyurappa here on Friday amid discussions in the party to decide the Leader of the Opposition.

The state BJP is yet to decide on the Leader of the Opposition in the state after the Congress emerged victorious in May 10 elections. Only on Thursday, Yediyurappa had shifted to his private residence ‘Dhavalagiri’ in Dollar’s Colony after vacating the officials residence ‘Cauvery’.

Bommmai’s visit was described as a courtesy call and the two leaders are learnt to have discussed about the Congress guarantees. Recently, Basavaraj Bommai had slammed the Congress government in the state saying that the party has cheated the people regarding the implementation of the five guarantees given to the people during the elections.
