CHIKKABALLAPUR: A mini bus belonging to the police department overturned after the driver lost control near Dyavanappagudi in Sidlaghatta taluk early today morning. Five police personnel were injured in the incident.
The mini bus, carrying police personnel, was in its way to Byraganahalli for security duty when the incident occurred. The driver apparently lost control while trying to avoid a motorcycle rider and the mini bus went off the road and toppled on its side.
An excavator was later brought in to put the bus back on its wheels. After some failed attempts using cables, the excavator was used to put the bus upright.
