DAVANAGERE: A fisherman died after falling off his coracle and getting entangled in his own fishing net, at Tuppadahalli village in Jagalur taluk on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Murthy (40), a resident of Kittur village.
As usual, Murthy had set out fishing in the lake on Wednesday. But his coracle overturned suddenly, leaving him entangled in the fishing net. Locals pulled out his body from the water later.
The Bilichodu police visited the spot and registered a case.
