HAVERI: The vice-principal of the first grade college at Bankapura in Shiggaon taluk has been accused of sexually assaulting BCom final year student. The girl is now three months pregnant.
Ningappa Kolakote allegedly sexually assaulted the student on the pretext of taking tuitions at home. In the last one-and half-years, he allegedly abused her about 7-8 times.
The 22-year-old student has now been admitted to the Santwana Kendra. A case has been registered at the Savanur police station under Sec 376(2) (N) and 506 of IPC.
