Fire breaks out at hospital, patients safe

BENGALURU: A fire broke out at Aveeksha Hospital near MS Palya in Yelahanka in the wee hours on Wednesday due to an electrical short circuit. Firefighting personnel later extinguished the blaze.

The incident occurred at 2.30 am when more than 20 patients were present in the hospital. The fire engulfed the 3-storey building and in-patients ran out of the hospital. The remaining patients were shifted to other nearby hospitals.
