BENGALURU: A massive fire broke out at a plastic godown at Gangondanahalli in Nayandahalli. This is the latest in the series of fire accidents reported in the city in recent days.
More than 30 autorikshaws and goods vehicles, including scrap items, were gutted in the fire. More than 10 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the blaze as the fire was threatening to spread to other nearby godowns.
The vehicles were parked in the vacant part of the godown owned by Rizwan. Since there were other plastic godowns nearby, the fire brigade personnel carried out a swift operation to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading.
MLA M Krishnappa visited the spot and inspected the damage.
