Fire at cracker shop leaves 3 injured, adjacent buildings, vehicles burnt

An accidental fire broke out at a firecracker shop at Attibele while unloading, on Saturday.

BENGALURU: A major fire broke out at a firecracker shop at Attibele in Anekal taluk while unloading the firecrackers from a goods vehicle on Saturday. As a result of the fire, 4-5 adjacent shops and some vehicles, including a truck, were burnt.

Three people were also injured in the fire, including one person who works at the firecracker shop belonging to one Naveen. All the injured were shifted to a hospital.

 

As the incident occurred near the border checkpost, traffic flow was affected and the Attibele police made efforts to ease the flow. The stretch between Attibele and Chandapura was completely choked.

Six fire tenders were fighting the blaze and fire tenders were also called in from neighbouring Tamil Nadu.
