A 47 years old Pradeep, businessman committed suicide for cheating in business.

RAMANAGARA: An FIR has been registered against six people, including former minister Aravind Limbavali, in connection with the suicide of a 47-year-old Bengaluru businessman on Sunday. The businessman Pradeep allegedly shot himself in the head inside his car at Nettigere Gate near Kaggalipura on Sunday.

According to sources, police have recovered an eight-page death note in Pradeep’s car wherein he mentioned six names — Gopi K, Somaiah, Aravind Limbavali, G Ramesh Reddy, Dr Jayaram Reddy and Raghav Bhat. All of them are involved in business.

On Saturday, Pradeep went to a resort near Nettigere with his family to celebrate New Year. On Sunday morning, he left the resort saying he had to visit Sira in Tumakuru district. But he went his residence in HSR Layout and wrote a death note and shot himself while returning to the resort.

Pradeep shot himself in the head and left behind a death note naming six people, including BJP MLA Aravind Limbavali.

In his death note, Pradeep said the five other businessmen had taken R 1.5 crore from him to open a resort in HSR Layout. They promised him that they will make him a partner in the venture. For this, he sold his house and even borrowed loan. But the other businessmen cheated him and he should get a total Rs 2.5 crore in return. Amidst this, a politician interfered in the case to but did not help him, Pradeep said.

Pradeep’s wife Namitha had complained against her husband a few months ago alleging that she was assaulted, and mentally tortured and harassed by him. She claimed that Pradeep always tortured her, suspecting her of having an affair with another person. He also threatened her by pointing the gun at her, she had alleged. But later on, the two had patched up.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai told media persons that due process of law will be followed in the case.
