BENGALURU: With voting coming to a close for the Karnataka Assembly election at 6 pm on Wednesday, various exit polls have indicated a hung House yet again in the state. However, while some polls suggested a majority for the Congress, at least one predicted a clear win for the BJP.
The C-Voter exit poll gives 83-95 for the BJP, 100-112 for the Congress, 21-29 for the JD(S) and 2-6 for Others. An exit poll conducted by P-Marq-Republic too predicts a hung Assembly. The results of the poll are: BJP 85-100, Congress 94-108, JD(S) 24-32 and Others 2-6.
The TV 9-Bharatvansh-Polstrat exit poll predicts hung assembly with edge to Congress. According to it, the BJP will get 88-98, the Congress 99-109 and the JD(S) 21-26 seats and Other 0-4 in the 224-member Assembly.
The ZEE Matrize predicts that Congress may cross the majority mark with 114 seats. A party needs 113 seats in the 224-seat Karnataka Assembly to achieve the majority mark. The poll gives BJP 79-94, Congress 103-118 and the JD(S) 25-33 seats and Others 02-05 seats.
The JanKiBaat exit polls suggests that the BJP will get 88-98 seats, the Congress 99-109 and the JD(S) 14-24 seats. A poll by CGS says the BJP will secure 114 seats, the Congress 86, JD(S) 21 and Others 3. The exit poll by ETG says the BJP will bag 78-92 seats, Congress 106-120 seats, the JD(S) 20-26 and Others 2-4.
Today’s Chanakya has predicted 92 seats for the BJP, 120 for the Congress, just 12 for the JD(S) and nil for Others. A poll by India Today predicted that BJP will bag 62-80 seats, Congress 122-140, JD(S) 20-25 and Others 03.
