BENGALURU: The Hennur police have arrested three people of allegedly murdering an elderly person who was accused of sexually abusing a minor girl on Sunday. The incident was reported at Babusab Palya near Hennur in the city and the deceased was identified as Kuppanna (72).
The police have arrested Madhu, N Sahabas and another individual in the case. The minor girl informed her parents that Kuppanna had sexually abused her, following which they beat up Kuppanna to death. He is said to have died as a result of excessive bleeding.
Kuppanna is a neighbour of the minor girl. When she stepped outside to fetch clothes hung out for drying around 9.30 pm on Sunday, he allegedly gave her some juice laced with intoxicants and then sexually abused her.
When she did not return, the parents went looking for her. When they came to know that the daughter was sexually abused, they thrashed Kuppanna badly. By the time the police arrived on the scene, Kuppanna had died at his house.
