BELAGAVI: An elderly man was injured in a deadly attack by a street dog on the main road of Mahantesh Nagar in Belagavi on Sunday. The dog suddenly attacked the elderly man who was walking along on his own and the entire scene of the incident was captured on a CCTV camera in a house.
As soon as the street dog attacked, the elderly man fell to the ground. Even after the elderly man fell, the dog continued to attack him. Locals expressed outrage against the city corporation officials.
Cases of dog attacks on women, children and the elderly are increasing day by day in the city. Although locals had appealed to the city corporation officials to control the dogs, the corporation officials have failed to act.
People in the city are distressed due to the repeated menace of street dogs, and officials are not ready to take steps to reduce the dog menace. As a result, the dog menace continues.
