Drunk man dies after slitting wrist with blade

CHIKKODI: A man died after slitting his wrist with a blade in a drunken stupor at a temple in a village in Chikkodi of Belagavi district on Sunday night.

The deceased has been identified as Parasurama Telasanga (32), a resident of Mole village in Kagwad taluk of Belagavi district.

Locals immediately admitted him to the Athani government hospital, but he died due to severe bleeding, without responding to the treatment. This incident took place in Kagwad police limits.
