BENGALURU: A car owner narrowly escaped an attack by some goons at Rauthanahalli Main Road. The goons followed the car with swords and smashed the rear windshield.

The car owner Ashutosh Singh, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), expressed his dismay about the “delayed police response”. He had lodged a complaint with the Madanayakanahalli police. The incident came to light two days after the incident when another X user going by the handle ‘The Bengaluru Man’ (@BetterBengaluro) reposted Ashutosh’s post while tagging Additional Director General of Police (Traffic and Road Safety)  Alok Kumar and Bengaluru police commissioner B Dayananda.

Ashutosh Singh wrote about the incident saying, “A narrow escape from local goons on August 24 at 12:45 AM at Rauthanahalli Main Road. They tried stopping my car, chased with swords, and shattering back glass. Traumatized by the delayed police response. Seeking justice, lodge an FIR at Madnayakanahalli PS today. Urgent action is needed!”.

The Bengaluru Man (@BetterBengaluro) wrote, “These incidents are unfortunately becoming a daily activity @CPBlr
@alokkumar6994 . We need a better solution for this problem”.

Following this, ADGP Alok Kumar replied on X saying, “It’s a very serious incident Have directed the concerned to take stringent action”.
