BENGALURU: An autorickshaw driver hit a drunk passenger with a stone after an argument over the fare at Anekal on Friday. The badly injured passenger was later shifted to Nimhans for treatment.
Autorickshaw driver Srinath and Prajwaj were separately consuming alcohol at SK Bar in Anekal. When they got out, Prajwal hired Srinath’s autorickshaw to go to another bar. An argument ensued between the two over the fare and both got into a fight.
In a fit of anger, Srinath struck Prajwal on the head with a stone, leaving him bleeding profusely. He was immediately rushed to the government hospital in Anekal where he was given preliminary treatment and referred to Nimhans for further treatment. The Anekal police have registered a case.
