DAVANAGERE: Villagers of Doddhaghatta in Channagiri taluk staged a protest on Thursday against a government Urdu school teacher over his alleged sexually inappropriate behaviour with colleague. They accused Urdu teacher Ajrali Khan of touching the hands of women teachers inappropriately.

Locals gathered at the school and held meeting.

They alleged that instead of teaching, the Urdu teacher is been indulging in politics in the village and sowing seeds of poison between castes. They insisted that he should be transferred to another school immediately and demanded that the BEO should take some stern action against him.

Doddhaghatta villagers are demanding transfer the Urdu teacher, who allegedly harass the women teachers.

Umahin, a gram panchayat member claimed, “This is the third time the same thing is happening with different teachers. Already two teachers have gone out from this school unable to tolerate his inappropriate behaviour. Ajrali Khan harasses woman teachers and misbehaves with them. He also threatened the teachers. Officials from the BEO’s office visited the school once, but no action was taken. The department had sent Ajrali Khan to another school on deputation for two months but he has returned to the same school now”.
