BENGALURU: The DJ Halli police on Friday paraded an accused, who is involved in several criminal cases, through some streets with handcuffs on him, in order to instill confidence among the public and to make the youth feel guilty about his crimes.
Suhail allegedly used to extort money from innocent people by threatening them. He is involved in over 15 cases, including murder attempts, threats and a recent smuggling case.
The DJ Halli police conducted the exercise to send out a message to the public that they need not be afraid of criminal elements and also to criminals that they will not be spared. The police are also planning to open a history sheet against Suhail, given that he is involved in over a dozen cases.
