A Dalit woman arrested for insulting the Constitution and Dr B R Ambedkar for using foul language in the video.

TUMAKURU:  The New Extension police (NEPS) have arrested a Dalit woman for insulting Dr B R Ambedkar in a video which she posted on social media.

Vedavathi, a resident of Kallahalli village near Kyathasandra shared an abusive video about Dr B R Ambedkar saying, “I have been denied justice. I got into this situation because of the Constitution drafted by Ambedkar”. She also blamed Ambedkar saying she does not have freedom.

Vedavathi fell in love and got into an inter-caste marriage. She used foul language and objectionable words in the leaked video over denial of benefits to her.

Following her outburst, the Karnataka Bhim Sene members lodged a complaint against at the NEPS police station, based on which she was arrested.
