‘Crazy Star’ Ravichandran to feature in lead role in courtroom drama scripted by Gururaj Kulkarni

BENGALURU: After a long-time, ‘Crazy Star’ Ravichandran will be acting in the lead role in a new movie, according to G9 Communication Media and Entertainment. The production company, which has already produced several popular films like ‘Accident’, ‘Last bus’, ‘Amrit Apartments’, is now all set to produce a new movie in the courtroom drama genre which will be directed by Gururaj Kulkarni.

Gururaj, who won acclaim for his directorial debut family-thriller ‘Amrit Apartments’, has penned the story and screenplay himself and is excited about working with superstar Ravichandran. The preparation for film started soon after the ‘Crazy Star’ gave his nod after listening to the storyline presented by Gururaj.

Speaking about the project, Ravichandran said tht apart from from family audience, the film provides an opportunity to connect with today’s generation which is tuned to contemporary content in several languages at a global level. He expressed excitement over the proposed project and said that it provides tremendous scope to perform while portraying his character.

Ravichandran said he realises the importance of the opportunity to play a lead role in the film in an unique and in a new dimension. At a time when Kannada films are making waves, he expressed confidence that his new movie will enhance the stature of the Kannada film industry.

Gururaj has himself written the story while Anup Seelin is the music director. Shiva B K Kumar is the cinematographer, B S Kemparaju is editor, M S Ramesh the dialogue writer are part of the team. The film is set to go on the floors in April and the title and other details will be announced soon, the production house said.
