CHIKKAMAGALURU: A cow was caught on CCTV camera drinking 10-20 litres of milk along with plastic sachets from a tray every day from a dairy outlet in Kottigehara of Chikkamagaluru district.
Every morning, a dairy vehicle used to come to the Ramaprasad Provision Store in Kottigehara and unload a tray of milk and curd. The owner of the provision store, Vikram, would come to the store in the morning and put the milk and curd inside. The shop owner, Vikram, had been noticing the milk theft for a month but couldn’t identify the culprit.
After installing CCTV cameras, footage revealed that a cow would visit the shop every morning after the dairy vehicle left and drink the milk directly from the plastic sachets. Since the cow was drinking milk with the milk cover, he thought that the thieves were stealing the milk packets, but the CCTV footage clearly showed the cow drinking the milk.
The shop owner, Vikram, has now decided not to file a complaint, amused by the fact that the milk thief was a cow.
