MYSURU: A tenant couple committed theft at the house owner’s home and sold the gold ornaments for Rs 6 lakh at Avarti village in Periyapatna taluk. The couple Manjunath and Nayana, have been arrested.
They stole from the home of retired teacher Nagaiah and Manjula. The teacher couple had locked their house and gone to Mysuru. During that time, the tenant couple stole 45 grams of gold jewellery kept in the cupboard and sold the stolen gold to a gold finance company for Rs 6 lakh.
The Bylakuppe police have arrested Manjunath and Nayana.
