HASSAN: As many as 35 soldiers fell ill at a training camp near Kudugarahalli in Sakaleshpur taluk of the district after lunch on Wednesday.

The soldiers had come for driving training and camped near Kudugarahalli. It is said that the soldiers fell ill after consuming adulterated food prepared at the camp on Wednesday afternoon. They were immediately brought in military vehicles and admitted to Crawford Hospital in Sakleshpur.

Local MLA Cement Manju visited the hospital as soon as he received information and inquired about the health of the ailing soldiers. The soldiers are recovering and are suspected to have consumed adulterated food.
