BENGALURU: The anticipated first list of the Congress for the upcoming Assembly election, which was expected to be announced on March 22, may come after a couple of days, according to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge.
“I have no information about it. The party’s organising secretary K C Venugopal and Mukul Wasnik will release the list. I’m not sure what date they will pick”, he said. While extending his Ugadi greetings, he said, “Let there be a new Congress government in the new year. He, however, refused to speak about Baburao Chinchansur, who recently resigned as BJP MLC, joining the Congress.
Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) D K Shivakumar too said, “We had planned to release the list on March 22. The party general secretary and the AICC president are in Bengaluru. The list will be released in a day or two”.
