TUMAKURU: A complaint has been lodged against actors and TV hosts Ramesh Aravind and Prema and a television anchor for allegedly insulting vehicle mechanics.
In a complaint to the police superintendent, the owner of a two-wheeler repair shop and the two-wheeler technicians’ welfare association pointed that during a reality show, it was mentioned that one cannot survive by ‘eating grease’ if they married a mechanic.
The complainants said the remark has hurt the sentiments of the entire community of mechanics and sought action against those who insult the working class.
