BENGALURU: After the second show-cause notice from Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot on the MUDA site allotment issue, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has replied to him through a letter stating that all allegations against him are baseless.

In the 60-page letter, Siddaramaiah has provided detailed explanation and documents, including Supreme Court and High Court judgments, to support his claim.

Siddaramaiah clarified that he has not misused his power or acted against the law during his tenure. The allegations made by the complainants are false and that he has not indulged in any illegal activities, he said.

In the letter, the CM said that he has legally obtained the sites for his family. “All documents provided by the Chief Secretary can be verified to confirm this; they clearly show that the land allocation was done in accordance with the law. Since CM has not committed any mistake in the MUDA land allocation case, it is not justified to issue a notice on baseless information provided by the complainants. The state also knew about complainants’ motives. It is not right to issue a notice without considering their hidden agenda. The application filed by the petitioners to prosecute me should be rejected”, the letter said.
