CHIKKABALLAPUR: The Amateur Radio Payload for Information Transmission (ARPIT), developed developed SJC Institute of Technology here, will be part of Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) SpaDeX payload, which will be launched from Sriharikota on Monday night.

The BGS ARPIT is an an experiment of the students of SJCIT and will be part of the 24 payloads to be carried by the PSLV satellite. If successful, ARPIT will create a revolution in spacefaring.
Like ISRO, common citizens can connect with satellites adn chat, share audios, videos and photographs, according to SJCIT principal Raju. A team from the college is already at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota to witnessed the launch of the mission, the principal said.
