BENGALURU: A complaint has been filed against renowned Kannada action director Ravi Varma at the Jnana Bharati police station. Also, another action director, Danny, has filed a complaint with the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce and the Producers’ Association.
The fight between Danny and Ravi Varma is not new. Earlier, Danny had stated in an interview that Ravi Varma is getting work in other-language films by using his name.
The current dispute relates to a firefight scene in the movie ‘Jackie’. It was composed by Danny, but Ravi Varma had told Prabhu Deva that he had choreographed it and got a chance. Danny alleges that Ravi Verma threatened him of life for the same reason.
Ravi Varma contacted Danny to talk about this, but he could not speak due to illness. Meanwhile, Danny has accused Ravi Varma of having misunderstood him and threatened him of life.
