BENGALURU: A cab driver was hacked to death by his friends after an altercation broke out between them at Bapujinagar on Mysuru Road in Bengaluru.
The deceased has been identified as Kaushik (25), a history-sheeter from Bytarayanapura. He was involved in a murder case in 2020 and was released on bail. After his release, Kaushik was driving a cab to make a living.
According to reports, Kaushik was partying with friends on Sunday night when an altercation broke out. It is alleged that his friends turned against him and murdered him. The accused fled the spot around 2:30 am.
The Bytarayanapura police visited the crime scene, conducted an investigation, and sent Kaushik’s body to Victoria Hospital. A case has been registered at the Bytarayanapura police station.
