Businessman arrested for adulterating Nandini ghee, selling it lower prices

KOLAR: The Kolar Rural police have arrested a man for selling adulterated Nandini ghee and seized 72 cartons worth Rs 4.5 lakh along with a Tata Winger maxi van.

The Kolar police have seized maxi van and 72 cartons of adulterated ghee.

The accused, identified Sharavan, hails from Mavalli and is the owner of JNC Food Products. Sharavan was allegedly adulterating ghee of Bengaluru, Hassan, Chamarajnagar, Mandya and Mysuru milk federations and selling it at low prices.

The police conducted an investigation based on the complaint by the manager of Kolar-Chikkaballapur district Cooperative Milk Producers Societies Union.
