BENGALURU: A BMTC bus conductor and a youth engaged in fisticuffs over issuing a ticket, on Monday even as the bus was moving. But sustained cuts in the incident and a video of two throwing punches at each other is doing the rounds on social media.
The youth boarded the bus near M S Ramaiah Hospital and was issued a ticket for the journey up to Yeshwantpur. The youth then questioned the conductor why he was being charged a fare when travel is free for women and declined to pay up.
The conductor and the youth got into an argument over this and ended up assaulting each other. The driver stopped the bus and intervened along with other passengers while the conductor asked to take the bus directly to the police station. Later, the young man was sent away by the other passengers.
