BJP hopes votes will rise significantly on Bajrang Dal issue

BENGALURU: After the Congress released its manifesto stating that it will ban Bajrang Dal if it came to power, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to take full advantage of the issue during the election campaign and plans to intensify the campaign in the remaining days.

According to sources, a report prepared by BJP shows that there is of votes increasing by a considerable margin after the Bajrang Dal ban issue has cropped up. The sources also said that the high command has been advised not to let go of the issue that was handed on a platter to the BJP.

As per BJP’s calculations, the proposed ban of Bajrang Dal by the Congress has triggered Hindu outfits in the state and it hopes to maintain the heat on the Congress until the election is over. The BJP hopes that it will change the electoral math and an internal report has also been sent to the top bosses.

The report shows that there is a possibility of an increase in vote share in more than 60 constituencies and can help the BJP in many ways. Hence, the BJP’s decided not to let go of the issue. Right from Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been raising chants of ‘Jai Bajrang Bali’ at the start and end of all his campaign speeches inthe state. The high command too has advised the state leadership to continue campaigning effectively on the issue and maintaining a similar position until the close of the election, sources said.
