Bengaluru school receives bomb threat, turns out to be hoax

BENGALURU: A private school in Govindapura police limits received a bomb threat on email on Thursday morning, but after a check, it was declared a hoax.

The email was received by The Indian Public School opposite Manyata Tech Park in Nagawara at 6.57 am and claimed that five pipeline bombs had been placed around the school at 1.30 pm. The sender’s identity read Father Kodachi and the email was sent from [email protected] to [email protected].

On receiving information, the Govindapura police, along with the bomb disposl squad, visited the school and conducted a thorough check, but no explosive device was found.

Based on a complaint from the school authorities, the police have registered a case and taken up further investigation.
