BENGALURU: An advocate has filed a complaint against the Amruthahalli police alleging that he was brutally assaulted by a police team on the night of June 15 in front of Maruti Bar in Amruthahalli.
Some residents had called the emergency number 112 complaining of disturbance near the bar. A police team, which arrived there, allegedly assaulted advocate Sudarshan and also abused him. Sudarshan’s wife, who came to his aid, was also threatened, the advocate has claimed.
Meanwhile, the police themselves had filed a case against Sudarshan accusing him of assault and threat to murder. They had informed their higher-ups that they had not assaulted Sudarshan.
However, their acts were caught on CCTV camera and based on that, a case has been registered against four police personnel.
