Belagavi social network comes to aid of ailing boy’s family, arrange for treatment

BELAGAVI: A social network in the city, Facebook Friends Circle, has come to the aid of a seven-and-half-year-old boy who has been suffering from brain fever. Desperate for his recovery, the boy’s parents had taken him to the Miraculous Cross at Nandgad and left him there for a few hours in the hope of some miracle.

Santhosh, a member of the social network, said they have made arrangements for the boy’s treatment at a private hospial in Belagavi. The boy was brought from Ambarada village to Khanapur by his parents. From there, an ambulance was arranged to bring him to Yash Hospital in Belagavi.

“We came to know about the parents’ plight through some friends and we decided to help them”, Santhosh said.

The boy Shailesh has been ailing for about two months and doctors treating him had given up hope.

Six days ago, Krishnappa, a labourer, and his wife took their son back home in Ambarada village in Uttara Kannada district. When they heard about the Miraculous Cross at Nandagad, they brought the boy there and placed him next to the cross praying for his recovery.
