Bagalkot shuts down to protest last week’s clashes in Kerur, schools, colleges unaffected

BAGALKOT: Following last week’s group clash in Kerur town, in which four people sustained injuries, a bandh was observed in Bagalkot town on Monday to protest against the incident.

The bandh call was given by Hindu groups. While hotels and other business establishments remained shut, bus services, schools and colleges remained unaffected.

During the clashes on July 6, Hindu Jagaran Vedike district secretary Arun Kattimani, Lakshman Kattimani, Yamanur Chungina and Gopal had sustained stab wounds. They are undergoing treatment at private hospitals in Bagalkot.
