CHIKKABALLAPUR: Four men, including an autorickshaw driver, assaulted a KSRTC bus driver for allegedly not giving way to them at Madeshwara village in Doddaballapur taluk on Tuesday afternoon.
The four blocked the bus near the Kittur Rani Chennamma residential school, got into the bus and abused the driver Prasanna. They also threw punches at him and kicked him. They also pushed away the bus conductor and other passengers who rushed to the driver’s rescue and fled.
The badly injured bus driver was later treated at a hospital and a complaint was lodged at the Doddabelavangala police station. Following this, three people have been arrested and sent to judicial custody while one of the attackers is absconding.
