GUWAHATI: Bharatiya Janata Party’s ally Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) president and Assam Agriculture Minister Atul Bora on Tuesday said that the opposition will not be able to fight against NDA in next year’s Lok Sabha polls.

“I don’t think that the opposition will able to fight against NDA in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls,” Bora said.

Earlier, Bora said, “We are going to participate in the NDA conference. I and our party’s working president Keshab Mahanta will participate in the meeting from AGP.”

With 26-like minded parties gathered in Karnataka’s Bengaluru for an opposition unity meeting, the BJP is holding a meeting of 38 parties of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the national capital on Tuesday.

Taking note of it, Bora told ANI that the NDA meeting will be crucial as the Lok Sabha poll is very close.

“Under the visionary, dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the last 9 years, he has been carrying forward the developmental achievement, development activities with remarkable achievement. The environment is in favour of NDA in the entire country. In Assam also, the environment is favourable for NDA under the leadership of CM Himanta Biswa Sarma. Aspirations and expectations of the people and long pending problems are being fulfilled within a short time,” Atul Bora said.

Apart from AGP, another NDA partner United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) from Assam will also participate in the NDA meeting to be held in the Capital today. (ANI)
