BENGALURU: The Customs officials at the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) have seized 234 reptiles that were being smuggled into the country from Bangkok and arrested one passenger.

Among the animals that were being smuggled in were a joey (young one of a kangaroo), young ones of snakes, crocodiles and turtles. The joey, however, died. The animals were being transported in a trolley bag which was part of the checked-in luggage.
